Surrey have your say

Surrey have your saySurrey County Council is currently running an online debate around residents' involvement in the future of their public services. Social media and online tools are transforming the way that people engage with each other, with the companies they buy from and the services they use. We want to know if this offers Surrey County Council an opportunity to find innovative new ways to involve people in designing public services in Surrey?

Parish Magazine 2001 CoverThe Chobham Parish Magazine published an article Spotlight on Chobham's Website. Going into detail about the features of the website two years after it was originally launched.

Surrey County Council have teamed up with WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) to offer Surrey residents up to £33 off a compost bin.

Tribute to Ged Mann

GED MANN (by Wendy Bentall on behalf of The Chobham Museum)

Ged Mann - Chobham MuseumGed Mann, who sadly passed away on February 1st, will be missed by everyone in the Chobham Community. He fought cancer for a long time, but instead of curling up or going on a long cruise Ged founded the Chobham Museum. He gathered a committee, arranged funding, sorted the plans, got the planning permission, oversaw the construction and, together with Janet, painted, sanded, planted and begged and borrowed to get the museum up and running. It opened in September 2000 and from then on Ged and Janet - let us not forget they were a team - organised everything including the displays, the rota, cataloguing, correspondence and maintenance as well as the building of the storage extension.
